Alex joined the PWHO team in September 2015 as a manager in training and became the manager of PWHO’s first children’s home. A year later, Alex was offered the Admissions Coordinator position and he enthusiastically accepted. Alex’s experience in supporting families and caring for loved ones with disabilities make him a great asset to PWHO and the many individuals he supports.

While attending college Alex worked at a group home serving and caring for people with mental illness and developmental disabilities. After graduation, Alex continued to work full time at the group home and also as a journalist for Southern Lakes Newspapers, LLC. As a reporter Alex covered local news in Walworth, Fontana, Elkhorn and Delavan. Later Alex went on to manage two homes in the Milwaukee area.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending time with his wife and his daughter. They share family time with their two cats and a dog. Activities that Alex enjoys doing with his family include: Playing with his daughter, watching the Packers, visiting his grandparent’s home, and taking the dog to the park.
“After ten years of working with adults with disabilities, it never crossed my mind that I would end up working with children. Now I feel like this is what I was meant to do. It has been gratifying to see the impact we can make on the lives of these young people, and to see how they learn and grow.”
