Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of WI provided a wonderful opportunity for families and professionals to come together at the First English Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI, where they spent the day learning how to navigate and plan for the future needs of their children and those they support with PWS. Wills, trusts, legal documents, guardianship and social security can create overwhelming feelings for those of us without the necessary background. However, the speakers invited to present information speakers provided those in attendance with their knowledge gained from years of experience and useful strategies and resources to help guide others through the process. While parents were gaining useful information, youth participants were able to enjoy fun activities and laughter with friends. They especially enjoyed the movie theater and large gymnasium the church had to offer. Special thanks goes to Melanie I., Steve S., Lexi D., and Rachel G., from PWHO for volunteering their time, and planning a day of learning, laughter, crafts, and fun for all.
