Shawn Bresnehan was born and raised in the Oconomowoc area. Shortly after graduating from Oconomowoc High School in 2003, he began working as a residential counselor at Margaret Ruth home. In May 2006, Shawn was promoted to Assistant Manager and in January of 2011 he moved over to Hanson House. Shortly after moving, Shawn was again promoted and is now in his current role as the Group Home Manager. In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Shawn is very active in coaching many of PWHO’s Special Olympic teams.
“I enjoy spending time with the Hanson House residents and all the residents from all of the PWHO Homes. I really enjoy coaching and going to all the Special Olympics tournaments with the residents.”
Shawn is very “laid back” and brings “calmness” to Hanson House. He enjoys interacting and joking with the residents and loves to hear the laughter and see the smiles on their faces as they go about their day.
Shawn grew up here in Oconomowoc and played football for the local high school. He now spends as much time as he possible can with his two sons Cooper and Colson. On Saturdays in the fall you can find Shawn cheering for his favorite team, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
