Tammy started with PWHO, in October of 2013, as a float with a desire to care for others. Her dedication, passion and enthusiasm has proven to be invaluable as she has held a variety of positions including Assistant Manager, Manager and now Program Coordinator. Tammy believes that her flexibility and listening skills make her an effective staff member. She says, “I also never make promises that I cannot keep.”
Before working at PWHO, Tammy worked at the Brownberry bread store in Oconomowoc. Tammy volunteers at Royal Family Kids, a non-profit organization that supports abused, abandoned and neglected foster children. She gained valuable experience volunteering for this organization for the last 12 years. “I am passionate about showing those kids that someone loves them unconditionally. At the camp, we play together and have a blast.”
Tammy grew up In Racine, WI and attended school there. In 2018 Tammy finished her master’s degree in Psychology at Purdue Global University. She hopes to use her knowledge, experience and education to benefit the residents at PWHO.
Tammy believes and tries to live by this quote: “Yesterday is history; tomorrow is a mystery; today is a gift, that is why it is called the present”. Tammy enjoys spending time with her family and going to movies together. Her other interests include crocheting and tending to her cats and dog.
