OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAApril moved to Wisconsin in 2001 with her husband and three children.

In May of 2008, April joined the team at Lang Home as a Residential Counselor. In December 2008, she accepted the position of Assistant Manager at Lang Home and in April of 2010 joined the Clinical Services Department as a Clinical Coordinator.

“To be given the opportunity to be a part of the residents’ lives, help them celebrate their accomplishments, and even working through the tough times is truly a blessing. Every day brings new learning experiences not only for them, but myself as well.”

April graduated from Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor’s Degree, double majoring in Psychology and Human Services. Her many experiences with children, adolescents, and adults with special needs have greatly strengthened her understanding of the day-to-day challenges they must overcome physically, socially, and emotionally. April’s ability to accept others as they are and focus on their strengths is a valuable asset to the individuals she works with.

April enjoys spending time with her family, camping, going for walks, and exploring the great outdoors.
